Fibre Optic Technician Job DescriptionIn accordance with DTS procedures and policies, the employee will be responsible for the splicing, testing and troubleshooting of newly installed and existing fibre infrastructure. In addition, the incumbent must be able to understand and decipher fibre splice packages for both internal and external projects. Duties include -  Prepping new fibre cables of different sizes
-  Splicing new and existing fibre infrastructure
-  Perform cable mid-spans on active fibre cables
-  Access aerial fibre locations
-  Locating fibre faults
-  Able to use OTDR for testing and troubleshooting
-  Understanding of internal fibre projects
-  Conduct field surveys and fibre audits
-  Input project as-built information
-  Occasional maintenance window cutover shifts for service and maintenance (00:00 to 08:30)

Implementation Technician/ EBS Technician Job DescriptionIn accordance with DTS procedures and policies, the employee is responsible for the installation and implementation of newly deployed equipment, communication and power cables. In addition, the incumbent must be able to obtain and understand information for these scheduled changes from documentation, floor plans, cable run diagrams and cabinet elevation drawings. Duties include-  Installation of data center equipment, including unpacking, rack mounting of equipment
-  Rack/cabinet installation, removal, prepping of rack/cabinet to accommodate new equipment/cable
-  Installation, including placement, connector install and connectivity testing of RG59 Coax, Cat5 and Cat6
-  Installation, connection to devices and testing of telecom fiber

DC Power Technician Position SummaryTo competently perform installation, testing and maintenance of various types of DC power equipment. LocationBolton, Ontario.
